NOLYN is a modern twist by VEJA on the iconic nylon fabric. First developed in 1935 for its strength, elasticity, and resistance to heat and water, nylon became a staple in both fashion and technical applications, from socks to parachutes during WWII. NOLYN retains these high-performance qualities while being re-engineered with 54% polyester and 46% recycled polyester for a more responsible material choice. Since 2005, VEJA has been creating sneakers with a focus on social projects, economic justice, and ecological materials. The brand uses Brazilian and Peruvian organic cotton for canvas and laces, Amazonian rubber for soles, and innovative materials made from recycled plastic bottles and recycled polyester.
